Over the weekend of 17–18 October, the halls of Chip Mong 271 Mega Mall were packed. Families moved from booth to booth, children pulled their parents toward games and prizes, and the smell of home cooking drifted across the floor from the Family Chef Competition. In the middle of it all, the Fortune Life Insurance booth stayed busy from morning to evening. Parents, young couples and grandparents stopped not only for the games and souvenirs, but also to talk with financial advisors about a question many families carry quietly: How do we protect the people we love if something happens tomorrow?
Fortune Life Insurance PLC was among the participants at the “Consumer Products Exhibition, Khmer Products Exhibition and Family Chef Competition,” one of the capital’s major annual consumer events, which brought thousands of visitors together over two days.
During the event, H.E. General Chhum Socheat, Secretary of State and Spokesperson of the Ministry of National Defence, visited the Fortune Life Insurance booth and was welcomed by the company’s management team. During his visit, H.E. General Chhum Socheat expressed his appreciation for the company participation in the exhibition and encouraged Fortune Life to continue serving the Cambodian people and helping families build a more secure future.
In an interview with the media at the event, Ms. Lim Chernchern, Deputy Chief Executive Officer of Fortune Life Insurance, said the company’s commitment to Cambodian families has stayed the same since it began operating in the Kingdom.
“Since Fortune Life began operating in Cambodia in 2020, we have held one strong commitment: to help Cambodian people protect their families and plan their financial future with confidence,” she said. “Life insurance is not just a policy. It is a promise that if something unexpected happens, a family’s income, their children’s education and their plans for the future are still protected. That is the responsibility we carry every day.”
Ms. Lim Chernchern stressed that raising public awareness of insurance remains a key priority for the company.
“Many Cambodian families still see insurance as something complicated or something for later. Events like this let us meet people face to face, answer their questions and explain in simple terms how protection and planning can make a real difference to their lives,” she said. “When people understand insurance better, they can make better decisions for their families.”
She also thanked the customers, organizers, and regulators who support the company’s work.

Throughout the two days, visitors spoke directly with Fortune Life Insurance’s financial advisors about financial protection and family financial planning, while also enjoying games and receiving souvenirs from the company.
